Biography
Sarah Susanka is an architect, author, and cultural visionary who has led a movement redefining the American home through her 'build better, not bigger' philosophy. As founder of Susanka Studios, Inc., she has authored nine best-selling books including The Not So Big House, Home By Design, and The Not So Big Life, with collective sales exceeding one million copies. Previously, she served as founder and principal of Mulfinger, Susanka, Mahady & Partners for 16 years. Builder Magazine recognized her as one of 30 most notable innovators in the housing industry over the past 30 years, while Fast Company named her to their debut 'Fast 50' list of innovators. She holds a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and is a recipient of the Anne Morrow Lindbergh Award.
