Rick Archer

Rick Archer is a Founding Principal of Overland Partners, a position he has held since 1987. With nearly four decades of leadership in architecture, Rick's design philosophy emphasizes creating buildings that harmonize with their context and support the greater good rather than standing apart as exceptional. Drawing inspiration from literature and archetypal stories, he reinterprets historical precedents for contemporary culture. Rick graduated with Highest Honors from The University of Texas at Austin's School of Architecture, where he served as Valedictorian. Prior to founding Overland Partners, he practiced at several Washington D.C. firms including Shalom Baranes Associates, Martin & Jones Architects, and Arthur Cotton Moore Associates. Currently, he also serves as Dean of O'More College of Architecture and Design in Nashville.
