Biography
Michael J. Monti is a nonprofit executive who has dedicated more than 15 years to working with architects, designers, educators, and researchers to create programs that improve the quality of human, built, and natural environments. Since 2004, he has served as Executive Director of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), the membership organization representing architecture schools in the United States, Canada, and beyond. Under his leadership, ACSA has supported more than 5,000 faculty teaching over 30,000 architecture students. From 2009 to 2012, Monti concurrently served as Executive Director of the National Academy of Environmental Design, working through ACSA to establish the organization. He holds a PhD and MA in Philosophy from Binghamton University and Villanova University, respectively.
