Biography
Mark Wight is Chairman and CEO of Wight & Company, an award-winning architecture, engineering, and construction firm with more than 80 years in business. Since taking the helm in 1987, Wight has pioneered the firm's Design-Led Design Build approach, an integrated project delivery model that connects architects to cost implications and centers collaboration as the path to creative, responsible solutions. Under his leadership, the firm completed the first LEED Pilot Project and has grown to roughly 200 design, engineering, and construction specialists, with over $1 billion in annual construction value. Wight & Company has earned numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, the Design-Build Institute of America, Landmarks Illinois, and the U.S. Green Building Council, among others. Wight is a Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council and a member of the Chief Executives Organization and YPO. He earned a B.A. from Reed College and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
