Biography
John SanGiovanni is an entrepreneur, strategist, and inventor with more than two decades of experience in design and technology. He has authored or co-authored more than 20 patents in mobile UI, wearable hardware systems, and augmented reality, many licensed or purchased by Apple, Microsoft, DJI, and Huawei. John has led product teams that shipped more than 30 top-tier apps for iOS and Android, with 10 achieving top-5 rankings in their App Store categories and winning major digital awards for clients including American Express, General Motors, and NBC. As a former Technical Evangelist for Microsoft Research, he led external academic research funding and co-invented Microsoft's Tile-based homescreen metaphor, now used on more than a billion devices worldwide. John has presented at TEDxSeattle, MIT Venture Summit, and Cannes Lions, and cofounded Zumobi, Visual Vocal, and TeamXbot, a nonprofit focused on technology mentorship.
