Biography
Gustav Magnusson is a Climate Development Coordinator at Malmö stad, working as an urbanist and climate strategist in the city's Urban Planning Department. An EU-Urbact expert and founder of the human-centered studio For Elize in Malmö/Copenhagen, he serves on national and local boards while advancing early-stage urban projects across Europe. In 2024, Magnusson received the prestigious Europe 40 Under 40 prize, recognizing him among Europe's most promising young architects and designers. A third-generation architect and journalist, he has shaped award-winning waterfronts in Nordic cities and contributed initiatives for the New European Bauhaus. As a permanent professor at European universities, he mentors the next generation of urban changemakers. Magnusson holds a Master in Urban Planning from Sweden/Germany and authored 'Keynote Conversations,' featuring insights from 100 leading urban thinkers, advancing discourse on inclusive and proactive urban environments.
