Biography
Dr. Sharon Egretta Sutton is Distinguished Visiting Professor at Parsons School of Design, a position she has held since 2018. She is Professor Emerita at the University of Washington, where she served on the faculty for nearly three decades. Dr. Sutton is a Fellow of The American Institute of Architects, a distinction she has held since 1983, and an active member of AIA New York. Her academic background spans multiple disciplines, including a Master of Architecture from Columbia University, a PhD in Psychology from City University of New York, and a Master's degree in Philosophy. This interdisciplinary foundation informs her contributions to architecture and design education, bridging psychological and philosophical perspectives with architectural practice.
