Dr. Nora Wang Esram is CEO of New Buildings Institute, bringing over 20 years of expertise in energy efficiency and sustainability. A recognized visionary and strategic thinker, she has spearheaded ten multi-million-dollar initiatives and authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications. Previously, she served as Senior Director for Research at the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy and spent over a decade as Chief Engineer and Team Lead at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where she created groundbreaking technologies and translated solutions into business opportunities. Dr. Esram has shared her expertise as a speaker at 60 conferences and 250 webinars, collaborating with over 400 organizations throughout her career. She has built numerous high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams and established a robust network spanning research, policy, and industry.
