Biography
Clare Wildfire serves as Global Practice Leader - Cities at Mott MacDonald, where she has been for over 17 years. With nearly 30 years of experience as a low energy engineer in the built environment, she supports cities in harnessing partnerships and data to expand integrated systems thinking and improve citizen transparency. Wildfire combines practical sustainable development expertise with policy-level engagement to provide insight into technical, political, financial, and behavioral aspects of sustainable development, particularly in energy efficiency and thermal masterplanning. Her ability to lead stakeholders through objective setting and risk assessment enables informed decision-making in complex urban environments. Working with both private sector developers and city municipalities, she brings valuable perspective on aligning objectives and optimizing outcomes. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and mathematics graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge, Wildfire also serves the Surrey Climate Commission, building connections with community groups across the region.
