Biography
Angela Watson, FAIA, LEED AP, is President and CEO at Shepley Bulfinch, the nation's oldest architecture firm. Originally from Germany, she earned her master's degree in architecture from MIT, where she later returned as a design studio lecturer (2006-2010). She focuses on creating environments that support people in learning, teaching, and collaborating. To better understand the relationship between space and behavior, she has co-authored studies investigating the impact of light on occupant well-being. A Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council, her recent clients include the University of Arizona, Ringling College of Art and Design, Banner Health System, Mayo Clinic, and the University of Houston. She succeeded Carole Wedge as CEO in 2021, continuing the firm's legacy of women in leadership.
