Andres Plascencia

Andres Plascencia is an Architectural Designer at Merriman Pitt / Anderson in Austin, Texas, where he has practiced since May 2023. An Honors Architecture graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington, Plascencia holds double minors in Spanish for Global Competence and Environmental and Sustainability Studies. During his academic career, he demonstrated leadership through collaborations with Freedom By Design, the Student Senate, and the Football Team creative collective, while also serving as a Research Assistant for the School of Architecture. Plascencia maintains a parallel creative practice as an Artist and Creative Director, having worked with recurring clients since 2016. His creative work has been featured in publications including Central Track, the Dallas Observer, D Magazine, and NPR, while contributing to projects that have garnered over 10 million streams and 11 million views. His multidisciplinary approach integrates architecture, community engagement, and design innovation.
