Biography
Alastair Elliott is a Principal at TYLin, where he has practiced structural engineering for over 30 years in the New York City metropolitan area. Previously, he spent over 25 years at Robert Silman Associates, rising from engineer to Principal and Chief Operating Officer before the firm's integration with TYLin. Elliott is also an educator, serving as an Instructor at the Yale School of Architecture since 2017, and has been a Visiting Lecturer at Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. He serves as a Board Member of the Design Trust for Public Space in New York. He holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami.
