Convening Overview

The new reality is here. Status quo for the design professions is no longer relevant. The new understanding of what it means to work, where to work, and how to work has changed and is continuing to change. The mainstreaming of AI and the all-encompassing digital/data context is redefining traditional business practices, client and consumer motivations, personal and professional priorities, and how we collectively will view reality. Transformation is no longer an option, but rather, a mandate for resilience.

At this convening, we addressed the following:
How do we sift through all the hyperbole, befuddlement, and fear around AI? This topic is too large to figure out on our own – it requires a fellowship of collaborative thinkers and a more rounded definition and application.
We heard from a global scientist, a Nobel Laureate, leaders in design, thought-leading academics, and AI commercial leaders around the most critical of themes: demystification, optimization, and cautioning.
