Convening Overview
For the previous three years, the Design Futures Council had delved deeper each gathering into the dynamic world of digital transformation from DIGITAL to DATA to AI and its direct implications to the built environment. This gathering was a time for “Actionable Reflection” as we contemplated and debated the consequential questions not being asked, the inquiries not being posed.
Far too many answers are being offered to the questions not asked. It’s time for us to see the convergence of essential disruptors with the greater context of professional practice and the core responsibilities we all carry towards appropriate environmental, social, and economic outcomes.
A call for responsible intelligence in technology selection, application, and output use is critical to the relevance and impact of the design professions as the near and intermediate future rapidly arrives. Likewise, interdependent intelligence will make the firms of the future.
